SNS Mock Draft Number Three
1. Las Vegas | Shedeur Sanders / QB / Colorado | The Raiders and Giants each have two wins and QB issues. The 2025 class lacks any sure thing but Sanders has unique qualities and could be developed into a special player in the NFL. |
2. NY Giants | Cam Ward / QB / Miami, Fl | The Giants have holes all along the offensive line that need to be addressed but feel that passing on a natural leader with very good physical tools is too good to pass up. Ward plays well in the clutch, something missing in NY for the last few seasons. |
3. New England | Will Campbell / OT / LSU | The Patriots seem to have found their QB and now need to improve the talent around him. As much as New England needs better talent at WR, protecting Maye needs to take priority. Campbell has prototypical size and skills to be a long-term NFL starter at OLT. |
4. Carolina | Abdul Carter / EDGE / Penn State | The Panthers no longer need to prioritize QB at the top of the team needs since Bryce Young is showing why he was the top pick two years ago. Carter is an elite athlete with an ascending game as he as helped lead the Nittany Lions to the college football playoffs. |
5. Jacksonville | Kelvin Banks / OT / Texas | The Jaguars have been an utter disaster this year and need to shake things up. Trevor Lawrence needs a new OLT after trading Cam Robinson to Minnesota. Banks has all the tools to be a premiere blind side protector in the NFL. |
6. Tennessee | Mykel Williams / EDGE / Georgia | The Titans could go QB here but Williams has rare talent for the position and is peaking as the Bulldogs play for a national title. |
7. NY Jets | Travis Hunter / ATH / Colorado | Speaking of rare talents, Hunter will attempt to play both WR and CB in the NFL, something not attempted at the professional level in decades, and may just be talented enough to pull it off. Hunter is a serious candidate to go first overall next April. |
8. Cleveland | Ashton Jeanty / RB / Boise State | The Browns could go QB here but Deshaun Watson's exorbitant contract makes parting ways unlikely for the next couple of seasons. Nick Chubb has seemingly hit the wall due to injuries and adding Jeanty gives Cleveland a weapon that works well in the cold and wind coming off Lake Erie each December. |
9. Chicago | Will Johnson / CB / Michigan | The Bears need to address the poor play of the offensive line but feel that there is no prospect available worth selecting here. Johnson looks like he could give Chicago the best pair of CBs in the NFL, along with All-Pro Jaylon Johnson. |
10. New Orleans | Mason Graham / IDL / Michigan | New Orleans needs to inject some youth along the defensive line and Graham is a high quality prospect with no discernible weakness and immediately becomes a starter and impact player. |
11. Dallas | Tetairoa McMillan / WR / Arizona | The Wildcats had a disappointing season despite having McMillan, a long and athletic WR with a massive wingspan. Dallas needs a RB, despite Rico Dowdle's recent emergence, but find that no available RB has the upside of McMillan. |
12. Cincinnati | Quincy Riley / CB / Louisville | Joe Burrow leads the NFL in TD passes while Ja'Marr Chase leads the league in TD receptions yet the Bengals are 5-8 and look likely to miss the playoffs because the defense has been a sieve leaking all year long. Cincinnati needs a major infusion of talent in the secondary and Riley is quickly rising up draft boards and has been invited to the Senior Bowl on February 1. |
13. Miami | Malaki Starks / S / Georgia | Starks has a great combination of skills including slot coverage and ball hawking ability to fit any defensive scheme. Miami gets a versatile safety that gives the defense a play maker in the secondary. |
14. Indianapolis | Luther Burden / WR / Missouri | The Colts need to improve the talent around Anthony Richardson and Burden would give the Colts a YAC monster to unleash on AFC South defenses. |
15. Atlanta | Nic Scourton / EDGE / Texas A&M | The Falcons pass rush has noticeably improved since the acquisition of Matthew Judon earlier this season as they can get consistent pressure on the QB. But Judon is in the latter part of his career and Scourton makes a very good complement and heir apparent. |
16. Arizona | Jalon Walker / LB / Georgia | The Bulldogs are loaded with NFL-caliber prospects at every level of the defense and Walker may be the most talented of them. He certainly is the most versatile, being deployed all over defense to create mismatches. Arizona is an ascending team that could use a real play maker on defense and Walker fits the bill. |
17. San Francisco | Walter Nolen / IDL / Ole Miss | San Francisco has been devastated by injuries at every position group on the team. The Niners under GM John Lynch always prioritizes line play and Nolen fits like what San Francisco likes in their defensive linemen - athletic, versatile, and just beginning to realize how good he could be. |
18. LA Rams | Carson Beck / QB / Georgia | The Rams are seemingly making another late season run and are looking to be a dangerous team the last month of the season. But Matthew Stafford is nearing the end of his career and bringing in Beck makes sense. Beck, who was injured in the SEC Championship game last weekend, has regressed this season but has elite tools and gets to play for coach Sean McVay, a noted developer of QBs. |
19. Tampa Bay | Jay Higgins / LB / Iowa | Tampa's run defense has regressed this season, despite employing the services of one of the best run stuffers in the NFL in IDL Vita Vea. The performance of the LB corps has noticeably declined this season and the addition of Higgins immediately addresses that need. Higgins is instinctive, rangy, and a tackling machine in the mold of Jack Campbell (Lions). |
20. Washington | Daylen Everette / CB / Georgia | The Commanders traded for Marshon Lattimore to address a weakness in the secondary that has haunted Washington all season. Lattimore is set to debut this week but has battled injuries for the last few seasons and may not be able to be counted on during the team's playoff run. Regardless, Everette has the length and coverage skills to pkay the man coverage that head coach Dan Quinn prefers. |
21. LA Chargers | Kenneth Grant / IDL / Michigan | The Chargers are suffering attrition along the defensive line and by adding Grant, LA gets a versatile interior piece with the size, strength, and massive wingspan to become a force early on during his NFL career. |
22. Denver | Colston Loveland / TE / Michigan | Denver has surprised this year behind the quick maturation of Bo Nix and now is the time to improve the talent around him. Loveland has battled nagging injuries, and constant double teams this season as Michigan's only consistent weapon in the passing game. He is a complete TE who has performed at a high level for three seasons now. He would give Nix a great option over the middle against NFL defenses. |
23. Seattle | James Pearce / EDGE / Tennessee | Seattle needs to improve their pass rush to better support their highly productive secondary and Pearce provides a highly athletic EDGE who can line up as an outside LB on early downs and then rush from a two-point stance on passing downs. |
24. Baltimore | Aireontae Ersery / OT / Minnesota | Baltimore needs to address their aging defensive and offensive lines and could go a number of ways here but decide to draft the raw but highly athletic Ersery who is relatively inexperienced but has rare measurements and is a freakish athlete who should excel during the draft evaluation period. |
25. Houston | Kyren Lacy / WR / LSU | Houston could use some additional WRs to improve the team's depth and give CJ Stroud some toys to play with. Lacy has good size, a large catch radius, and great body control to line up opposite Nico Collins in Houston. |
26. Green Bay | Jordan Burch / DL / Oregon | The Packers like versatile defensive linemen and Burch has the ability to line up as a 4-3 DE, 5T, or slide inside and rush from inside. |
27. Pittsburgh | Billy Bowman / S / Oklahoma | Bowman is a dynamic play maker in the back half of the Sooners defense and he seems to always be near the ball. Bowman only has average size but his speed, when combined with his elite instincts, makes him a difference maker for NFL secondaries. |
28. Minnesota | Jermari Harris / CB / Iowa | The Vikings have had an outstanding season despite injuries and tragedies experienced in the secondary. Defensive Coordinator Brian Flores loves pressure packages and that requires man coverage to execute the way Flores likes. Harris was rarely tested by Big Ten offenses this season and that is a testament to his ability in man coverage. |
29. Buffalo | Xavier Watts / S / Notre Dame | Watts is one of the most productive ball hawks in college football over the last two seasons with 12 INTs recorded. Watts has fantastic range with great instincts that always seems to bring him near the ball in the air. Buffalo has a solid defense but could use a play maker like Watts in the secondary. |
30. Philadelphia | Xavier Restrepo / WR / Miami, Fl | Restrepo, who has accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl in February, has flourished over the last two seasons with back-to-back 1,000 yard receiving seasons, and has elevated his game this year playing along side Heisman Trophy contending QB Cam Ward for the 10-2 Hurricanes. Restrepo has enough size to line up outside but his skillls are perfectly suited for slot receiver duties where he should find the most success in the NFL. |
31. Detroit | Deone Walker / IDL / Kentucky | The Lions have been heavily impacted by injuries on the defensive line this season and understand the importance of improving depth in that position group. Walker returns to his home town with an enticing blend of size and athleticism and should be effective in a rotation where he can stay rested. |
32. Kansas City | Quinn Ewers / QB / Texas | Why would the Chiefs draft Ewers? The Chiefs need to improve their pass protection but feel the talent available does not meet the value of a prospect like Ewers possesses and they like their young OTs. Ewers would make a prime trade candidate in a season or two but for now gives Mahomes a prospect to develop for the next couple of seasons. |
